NTSC 2018 & NMMSE 2017 : National Talent Search Scheme started in the year 1963. The purpose of the scheme is to identify talented students and nurture them. This year NCERT will conduct the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) in coordination with states for students studying in Class X. It is expected that NTSE 2017 – 2018 in all States and Union Territories will be conducted in the month of Nov 2017 (tentatively). NTSE 2018 stage II will be conducted on 13 May 2018.

State Level national talent Search Examination, 2018 (NTSC-2018)

  • Students of class X of any affiliated and recognized school of W.B.B.S.E./W.B.B.M.E./I.C.S.E./C.B.S.E in West Bengal securing 50% and above marks (40% and above marks for S.C/S.T/Physically Disabled Candidates) in the final examination of class IX are eligible to appear at State level NTSE, 2018.
  • Students who have registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) under NIOS / West Bengal Council of Rabindra Open Schooling and secured 50% and above marks in the pre-10th level examination (40% and above marks for SC/ST/Physically Disabled Candidates) will also be eligible for Scholarship provided the student is below the age of 18 years (as on 1st July, 2017), the student is not employed and he/she will appear at class 10th level examination for the first time. In case of Study Centres under ODL mode, the Coordinator or Authorized person shall authenticate the required particulars of the candidates mentioning approval number, code etc. of the Study Centre.

NTSC 2018 & NMMSE 2017

Centrally Sponsored National means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination, 2017 (NMMSE 2017)

  • Students of class VIII who secured 55% and above marks in the final examination of class VII are eligible to appear in the centrally sponsored NMMS Examination, 2017 for class VIII. 5% relaxation to SC, ST, Disable candidates.
  • Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and State Government run residential schools or any Private school are not entitled to get Scholarship.The students must be studying in recognized Government Schools/Government Aided School/Local Body and Government Sponsored Schools including Madrasah without residential facility
  • Parental Income should be below Rs. 1,50,000/- (One lakh fifty thousand) per annum from all sources. Income certificate to be uploaded.
  • For non-salaried person, Income Certificate for the period from 01.04.2016 and 31.03.2017 must be obtain from any Gazetted Officer not below the rank of Jt. B.D.O / Executive Officer ( In case of Corporation and Municipality area) to be uploaded.
