Eligibility Criteria for Eastern Railway Recruitment 2017
Age Limit & Relaxation: The applicant’s age limit should be not less than 18 years and not more than 28 years for Group ‘C’ Posts and not less than 18 years & not more than 31 years for ‘D’ Posts (As on 01.01.2018). Relaxation up to 03 years in upper age for OBC and Relaxation up to 05 years in upper age for SC / ST category.
Maximum Qualification: Candidates must have completed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% marks are not to be insisted upon in case of SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen & for the candidate of any category possessing higher Qualification for Group ‘C’ Posts and Passed Class 10th or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT / SCVT for Group ‘D’ Posts.
Salary Details: Rs.5,200 to 20,200/- with Grade Pay Rs.1,900/- [Corresponding to Level-2 of Pay Matrix (7th CPC)] For Group-C Posts and Rs.5,200 to 20,200/- with Grade Pay Rs.1,800/- [Corresponding to Level-1 of Pay Matrix (7th CPC)] for For Group-D Posts.
Examination Fee: Candidates have to pay of Rs.500/- for General & Other unreserved category and candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Ser, PWD, Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes Rs.250/-. The Examination Fee is payable only in Indian Postal Order (IPO Payable at GPO, Kolkata) drawn in favour of FA & CAO, Eastern Railway Kolkata.
